HUDSON: Ward 4 residents interested in serving on the City Council have until Jan. 3 to apply.

Applications are being accepted to replace John Jeffers, who resigned Dec. 11.

Candidates must have lived in the ward for two continuous years and be registered to vote.

The council will appoint someone to serve until the general election next November. Then voters will decide who serves the remaining two years of Jeffers' term.

Council members are paid $10 a month.

For more information, contact the City Council office at 330-342-1795.
