Hudson’s Restaurant owners John, JJ and Kevin Altomare will round out this week's Celebrating One Year series.
The father and sons trio opened the business in October 2006 and named the restaurant after the city because it is their hometown.
The Altomare family said they are committed to not only serving guest with traditional dishes and flavors but also bringing new things to the table – be it a new menu item or its new project called the Hudson’s Foodie Insider E-Club. Community members can sign up at www.hudsonsrestaurant.com to find out about upcoming events and special offers.
Here’s what else they had to say:
Q) How have you seen the community change, since you've been in business?
A) The community has changed in the past six years because of great initiatives on the part of Leadership Hudson. They have created great local festivals and events that have added to the local culture. The collaboration between the Merchants of Hudson and the town has also developed great events that bring people to downtown Hudson.
Q) The restaurant offers a variety of events for community members, how do residents help influence what's offered?
A) We participate in many community events because we are dedicated to supporting and giving back to the community. Our patrons reach out to us with events and ideas that we often help and support.
June 22, we are teaming up with Hudson’s Thaxton Organic Garlic Farm to create a farm to table dinner using local ingredients while enjoying the beautiful garlic farm setting. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hudson Farmers Market. This is one of the many ways we work with our community to give back.
