Santa will make his 25th appearance at the gazebo in downtown Hudson on Saturday, courtesy of the Hudson Rotary.

The hours for the event are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Although Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 9 a.m., numbers will be issued at 8:30 a.m. to help visitors avoid having to wait in line.

Rotary member Hal DeSaussure says that the ever-popular Santa created long lines in past years, and the number system helps to avoid that.

He says that the weather looks to be good for this year and that free hot chocolate is offered to all visitors.

According to DeSaussure, the Hudson Rotary has been running the event for 13 years, and they get a very good turnout each year.

The originator of the event was the Hudson League for Service.

Visitors are encouraged to bring cameras and take their own photos with Santa.

There is no charge for the event.
