HUDSON: City council has accepted bids from Ronyak Bros. Paving of Burton, Ohio for two projects.
The first project is for annual asphalt resurfacing. Ronyak will resurface, reconstruct, and repair various streets within the city, for a bid price of $1,137,703. The price includes a 10 percent contingency.
The second project is slated for Barlow/Terex Road, and will involve berm restoration, partial and full-depth repairs, and additional berm installation. The work will run from state Route 91 to the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks.
The bid was for $824,074 with a 10 percent contingency.
Council member J. Dan Williams made a point of mentioning that the Barlow/Terex project includes a provision for the creation of bike lanes.
Both bike lanes and sidewalk connectivity have been topics explored extensively in recent council workshops.
