Hudson City Council has prepared a resolution to honor retiring member John Jeffers. It will be read at the meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The meeting will be held in council chambers at the town hall.

The oath of office will be administered to Keith W. Smith who will replace Jeffers for the remainder of the term, which runs through 2013.

In other business, council will consider an ordinance to amend the city's pay structure for non-union employees.  The pay steps provided in the pay range structure will be increased by a factor of approximately 1.5 percent across the board.

Council will also be establishing a new fund and appropriations account, known as the health reimbursement account (HRA), for city employees.  The revenue in the fund will come from charges to other operating funds, and the expenses will consist of medical claim payments for employee deductibles.

The city will be using a third party administrator, Health Equity, Inc., for the payment of the claims.
