Eight students from Hudson High School traveled to the Ohio Statehouse to learn the processes of the House and the role of state government.

The Junior Leadership Hudson students, along with eight students from Western Reserve Academy, met with State Representative Kristine Daley Roegner (R-Hudson) for a question-and-answer session and conducted a mock vote on the House floor with Rep. Roegner.

"It is always a joy for me to welcome the Junior Leadership Hudson group to the Statehouse," Rep. Roegner said. "I enjoy their thoughtful questions and interaction. When I meet with these junior leaders, my confidence in sustaining a bright future for our Buckeye state is always renewed. What a talented group of young people!"

The Junior Leadership Hudson is an organization that teaches students the fundamentals of becoming leaders through interactions with local business owners and gaining  professional networking and leadership skills. Next the group will travel to  Kent State University's Center for Entrepreneurship and Akron Global Business Accelerator.
