The Prescribed Burn to rid a 3/4 acre area of phragmites grass in Hudson was unsuccessful. At 9:00 a.m. Thursday, the Hudson Fire Department began the attempt at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club with help from Metro Parks of Summit County, according to the Hudson Hub Times.
Officials stated that the wind was not strong enough for the fire to spread. They will try again within the next few weeks.
