Hudson senior Hannah Boesinger said she has given an oral commitment to continue her academic and basketball careers at Youngstown State University.
“I really felt comfortable with the coaches and the team,” Boesinger said. “I feel really good with what they are doing with the program. They are turning it around and I want to be part of something like that.”
Boesinger averaged 14.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.1 assists per game last season. Boesinger also was named to the All-Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division first team and was an honorable-mention selection on the All-Northeast Ohio Inland District team.
“I think it is a great opportunity for Hannah,” Hudson coach Dennis Lawler said. “They are excited to be getting her. She will fit into their style of play. They play a similar style to us, which is nice. Another thing is she wants to get into pre-pharmacy and they have a great program at Youngstown State. They offer the program that she wants to study.”
Boesinger said she plans to attend the Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown after completing her degree at YSU.
Boesinger aspires to be a pharmacist.
Boesinger has a 3.4 cumulative grade-point average.
