Hudson City Council has conducted its annual review of water and sewer rates, and the proposed changes will be set for public hearing on May 15, at the town hall, during the regularly scheduled meeting.
Individual and business water rates will not increase. A capital maintenance fee has been set for all sewer accounts.
In prior years, only new accounts were subject to this monthly fee.
The fee is based on meter tap size, and ranges from $5 per month for 5/8-3/4 inches, to $75 for meter tap sizes of three inches.
Sewer use rates will rise. Those currently paying $7.67 per 100 cubic feet will now pay $8.44.
Those in the category paying $58.47 per month, will see an increase to $64.32 per month.
The capital maintenance fee for sewer will now apply to all accounts as well. These fees are also based on water meter tap size, ranging from $5 for 5/8 and 3/4 inches, to $75 for three inches.
Customers who are connected to the sewer which is part of the Water Resources Department, will see an increase in their availability charge from $9.03 to $9.93.
The changes will take effect for the billing cycle due on July 10, 2013.
